Australian Tour
In 2006 back from a 15,000km trip around Oz in our 2nd motor home- Studio 2... It was at times hard work, but mostly informative and fun. Some of the highlights were:

discovering I had won the Tamworth Songwriters' Association (Sth East Qld Branch) Songwriting Competition 2006 (Australian Contemporary Section) with "Swinging on a Gate" sung by Amy Lee. This song was played on local radio in almost every town we visited;

the opportunity to be interviewed on local radio stations about my music;

our visit to the Gympie Muster;

writing a song for "BoardFree" (these guys were longboarding from Perth 6,000km to Brisbane for charity);

receiving a "Highly Commended" award from SCALA Festival Of Original Music Song Competition for my song "Wealth From The Sea" sung by Diamond & Rust (Steve Frawley and Lotti Lothian);

"Whiskey and Me", a song I wrote in 2001 won the Tamworth Songwriters' Association (Vic Branch) Folk/Bush Ballad of the Year, VicSong Comp. 2006.
These photos are some of the interviews at Radio Stations along the way. Some, like ABC Country, Karratha, aren't here because we forgot our camera, but we managed to remember a lot of the time. Thanks to all the radio stations involved - and all those listeners who rang during the interviews - it was a great pleasure meeting everyone.We now have to settle down and work on the pile of note/ideas/inspiration garnered on the way.....
